My 1st Mother's Day

Dear Brendan,

Today is a very special and very surreal day for me. Not only am I celebrating my own mom and your grandma, but I am also celebrating today as YOUR mom! 

As I sit here and type this, you are peacefully sleeping on my chest. I'm not sure if I can ever express to you in words just how much I had hoped that one day I would be blessed with a child of my own. To look down and see you, brings more joy to me than I ever could have imagined. To know that my hopes and dreams are now a reality makes me feel blessed beyond measure. 

Our 1st Mother's Day Together!

You have truly brought so much sunshine to my life. Every day when I see your happy face, it reminds me time and again how much I absolutely LOVE being your mom. I hope that one day I will make you as proud to be my son as I am to be your mom! 

I'm having so much fun watching you grow and develop, and learn new things. I often sit and stare at you and wonder what goals you will set for yourself. What types of sports you may decide to play in school. What career path you will one day choose. I'm not in any way wanting you to grow up too fast, but I just can't wait to see the man you become!

For the time being though, I wish I could slow down the clock and keep you as my little snuggle baby forever! 

I love you more than you'll ever know!
