Today was such a fun day for our family!!! We celebrated your upcoming 1st birthday! I really don't know how it has been almost a full year of having you here with us. Time goes by so fast these days. I wish I could slow down the clock and keep you this little forever. But, I can't so instead I will just enjoy every second of watching you grow and learn! 
We held your birthday party at grandma and papa's house and it was a beautiful day. Blue skies and and perfect weather. We decided to keep your party small so it would be a more personal get together. It really couldn't have been a more special day.We decorated everything in a construction theme, perfect for the rugged little boy that you are! And, in case you didn't know, me and papa both worked in construction for many years, and uncle Kirk still does. So it seemed like a great theme for your party!
We had a lot of yummy food for everyone to eat, and you enjoyed munching on some cheese quesadillas...one of your favorites! You had a yummy chocolate cake with oreo whipped cream frosting, decorated by me! We also had a bunch of mini cupcakes for everyone else to enjoy. 
Everyone had such a fun time celebrating your big day. All the kids worked on an art project and decorated some little paper Christmas trees since your party was just a few days before Christmas. You were too young to decorate one yourself, but you had plenty of other things keeping you busy!I was sure to take lots of pictures so you will have them to look back on. It will be so much fun to look at them when you get older!!
