Your First Haircut

Dear Brendan,

Today was a bit of an emotional day for your mom. We decided it was time for you to get your first haircut! You have the prettiest curls in the back of your hair, and it was so hard for me to let her cut them! But your hair has gotten so long and is always hanging in your eyes.

Fun Race Car Chair!

We went to a really great place called Cool Cuts 4 Kids. You seemed pretty comfortable there and liked the lady that cut your hair a lot. At first she tried to put you in one of the race car chairs, but you decided the steering wheel was too irresistible and started to suck on it. I'm sure when you're a little older you'll be able to sit there and not be tempted to eat the steering wheel!

Needless to say, we had to move to a regular chair! They had a little TV right there for you to watch as a distraction, but you weren't interested in that. You were more interested in what she was doing to your hair! At one point you started to get a little bit fussy, but she gave you a comb to play with and that was all it took. You were a happy little guy from that point on!

She did such an adorable cut on you! She agreed that we shouldn't cut all of your curls off....they're just too cute! So she just shortened everything up and left you with some of your curls in the back.
