First Road Trip!

My Little Traveler,

We're on the road to California and I'm actually writing this from my phone, on the road! So far, you're doing really well on the trip. Of course, we've only been driving for a short time, but every little bit gets us closer to where we're going!

Tonight we'll be staying in Colby, KS and I'm anxious to see how your first hotel stay goes. Hopefully you have a good night and are able to sleep well.

Saying bye to your dad was pretty rough. I never like to be away from him for long. We plan to set up the web cam on the computers so he can see and talk to you every night. I know he'll miss us while we're gone just as much as we'll miss him, but he is excited for you to meet my side of the family and be able to spend some quality time with them and your sister!

We have a lot of fun things lined up for us while we're there! You'll be going to your first birthday party! Your cousin Bella will be turning 4 so that will be fun. Your Uncle Pake and Auntie Grammy are super excited to meet you, as are your cousins! Uncle Kirk and Aunt Suzanne will love meeting you too! You are loved by so many, sweet boy! Hopefully your dad will be able to fly out and visit too once his work schedule goes back to normal. He is sure going to try.
