TWO Months!

Dear Brendan,

TWO months already...wow!! As much as I want the clock to slow down so you can stay this little forever, you sure are getting to be a fun age! 

We're just a few days away from taking you on your first trip. We'll be going to CA with Papa and Grandma while your dad finishes up his outage schedule at work. I know he's going to miss you like crazy while we're gone. I'll be sure to send him lots of pictures and we'll call him on Face Time so he can talk to you. There are so many people that are super excited to be able to meet you soon! I can't wait to show you off :)

Here are some of the things I've noticed you doing in the last month:

- You've found your hands, and you love to try to eat them! Actually, you like to try to eat our fingers too!

Happy Boy!

- You're starting to do more social smiles and coos. Grandma really had you smiling and cooing during your 2 month pics! It was so cute and I was glad I caught you smiling in a couple of the pictures. 

- You love hanging out on your activity mat. You're so content just lying there watching the lights on the star and listening to the music. You even kick your legs and wave your arms as if you're dancing to the music! You also bat at the toys that are hanging down. You really are so adorable...and I think you know it too!

 
- You're starting to get a little bit more interested in Cody! He loves to sniff you and try to lick your head and hands. I don't let him lick, but he occasionally sneaks a kiss in there before I can get to him. He brings his toys to you and tries to put them in your hands. I don't think he understands why you can't play fetch with him. It won't be long before you're able to throw his toys. I know you 2 will be best friends. Cody is already so protective of you and always gets very concerned when you cry.

New Size 2 Diapers!

- You love having your diaper changed! I guess I can understand why. I know I wouldn't want to be wearing a dirty diaper. You can be crying and yelling, but as soon as we lay you down to change you, you stop crying and just look around. I think you enjoy being a naked baby and you seem to like the fact that we use a wipes warmer! No cold wipes on your booty! You do get a little bit fussy sometimes when we change your clothes though. Especially if it's something that has to be put on over your head. You're much better with the onsies that snap or zip up.

Rub-a-dub-dub!

- You aren't a fan of taking a bath! I'm trying different things to try to get you to enjoy it more. Sometimes you seem good with it and other times you scream your head off. Last night you got pretty mad. Grandma and I were giving you a bath and I think I might have made the water a bit too cool for your liking! Sorry little dude!

- I'm still trying to get your tummy troubles resolved. It's so hard watching you struggle with it. I'm working hard on it...hang in there little guy! I'm determined to get this fixed so you're no longer hurting. I think we're getting closer!

Nap Time

As I sit here and write this, you're napping on your daddy's chest. You look so peaceful and content and that makes me smile! 

We love you so much and are so happy you're ours!
